I finally have opened my first solo exhibition in Bodrum where I currently reside.I shared a pretty big hall with another artist who is not a watercolorist.Not a huge crowd  at the opening evening but the turnover was pretty good as some of my old  favourite stuff were sold.The exhibition will end on 3rd January 2013.

I 'm posting  works I did in recent days all at once.All half sheets.Colors from Schmincke and Dick Blick.I must say that I have been dissappointed by burnt sieanna by Dick Blick;it is  dull and like an ordinary brown comparing with W&N and Schmincke.

From still warm and beatiful Torba...

My first post for a long time is called impressions from Torba boat shelter.Painting is dark but not Torba/Bodrum where a wonderfuly warm and bright Autumn is prevailing.Temp is around 28-30'C (82-86'F) but I remember the dark winter days.

INTERNATIONAL WATERCOLOR FESTIVAL /SEFERIHISAR -TURKEY

The festival was a huge success!It was a great joy to meet people I know online in real life, meeting foreign artists,watching live performances,changing paintings etc.It was an event not to be missed.You can see photos from the festival including pics of live performances by Foreign an Turkish watercolorists via links on my facebook page below.Check out amazing portrait pics by Han Esheng and Liu Yi especially..I even did my first on site painting  ever and it turned out pretty good too!I am already looking  forward to be there next year

This weekend I'll be in Seferihisar/İzmir for the International Watercolor Festival organized by International Watercolor Society.I'll be there both as an invited artist and one of the admins of the Society's facebook pages.It promises to be a fantastic event for the watercolor lovers with pleinair painting sessions,demos by masters and other art activities.I'm looking forward to meeting great watercolorists from China like Liu Yi and Jao Jianxin,also with some other favorite artists like Gerda Mentens,Pablo Ruben Lopez Sanz and many others. Ps:I forgot to mention that master Zhou Tiania will also be there!
